What to Expect When You Visit

Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Where do I park? Where do my kids go?

We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit. Below are some frequently asked questions. If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to contact us or visit the Welcome Center in the foyer of the main entrance when you visit.

When are services?
Services are on Wednesday nights at 7pm and on Sunday mornings at 10am.

What should I wear?
Most services our leaders will enjoy jeans over suits, but whatever makes you comfortable suits us just fine. We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you’re wearing. In the summertime, it’s not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt. Others prefer to still put on their “Sunday best,” and that’s fine too! We think you’ll fit in no matter how you dress.

How do I get to The ROCK?
The ROCK is located just off of Emerson Avenue across the street from Wendy’s directly behind the Michael R. Cox dentistry office. Click here for a map and driving directions.

Where should I park?
You may park in any available spot; any reserved parking is clearly marked.

Where do my children go?
Legacy (infants through 4th grade, preteens ages 11-12, Eternal Impact ages 13-18) is the perfect place for your children, to go while you attend service. If you would like your children to go to Legacy, visit the Welcome Center located in foyer of the main entrance. You will be directed by our attendants to where your children can be checked in, and you will receive a receipt sticker which you will need in order to pick up your child.

You will also notice a three-digit numeric code on your receipt (example: 113). This code is used discreetly by The ROCK to notify parents if help is needed with their child. There is a large projector screen in the main sanctuary that will display the three-digit numeric code until the parent comes to take care of the child.

For the safety and security of your child, it is important that you keep track of your receipt sticker. This helps us know that you are the person authorized to pick up your child.

Am I expected to put money in the offering?
If you are visiting with us, we don’t expect you to put money in the offering, and you are welcome to just let it pass you by. If you consider The ROCK your church home, we’d love for you to prayerfully consider giving to The ROCK. You can give by check, cash, or debit/credit card during the service, or you can donate on this site.

How long is a typical service?
Typically a ROCK service is 2 hours in length from beginning of worship until end of sermon.

What is a Worship service like?
Our worship is sometimes loud and is always exciting and energetic in the Lord! Worship is usually 45 minutes and is sometimes followed by a prophetic word given to encourage or edify (1 Cor. 14: 3,31) or a brief message in tongues, followed by an interpretation (1 Cor. 14: 5,18, 27).

Too loud? No problem, feel free to Hang out in the foyer until worship is over. Too long? Have a seat; you won’t offend us, just enjoy!

Anything happening after services?
YES. We have the RockCity Grille open after every Wednesday service with a full menu of your favorite foods. View the menu here. Kids can hang out and play in the gym while adults hangout and make new friends.
